chicken nugget
there is something beautiful about chicken nuggets. breaded and fried to golden perfection, they're hot and crispy on the outside but savoury and tender on the inside. there is no happiness greater or more ubiquitous than ordering a 40 count box of nuggets from the golden arches.
as a way to both pay homage to and elevate the humble chicken nugget, i created moulds of nuggets at their peak condition, and then experimented with different materials and methods to cast the final piece. i documented my ideas and process in chicken nugget, excerpts of which can be found below.
most recently, i made experimented taking this idea a step further by making chicken nugget lights, which due to the luminescent pigment used, also glows in the dark.
